1.0.2 is the new version of Veqa Image Marker today that has been released. We'd like to consider this as an important update. Unlike the previous update, this has a bit more fixes involved. However, there are new features, too, along with these fixes. One to name is the "use=" URL parameter function, which enables you to switch to GD or ImageMagick MagickWand for PHP on the fly.
Another thing, you might think of as a feature, but probably be more along the lines of a fix, is PNG transparency for GD. However, there is a bit of a confliction of the image's transparency and the mark's transparency if present. But this can be toggled inside the configuration.
An addition to the watermark security is the new force watermark feature. However, being quite a simple feature, but useful still. If you just want to watermark your images only, or if you want to feel more secure that your images are not being shown without a marking, then this will be a solution for that.
Also, the process of getting the image via the form has been changed. We now have a default of a redirection page that counts for 2 seconds until redirected to your on-the-fly processed image location. The previous version redirected, but with no actual page with wait. But, you can change this in the configuration and go back to the previous way of redirecting. However, the wait page is more recommended due to useability - also the 0 wait has a bug with the GD/MagickWand switching having a familiar redirect annoyance.
Important to note that the percentage has been changed in the URL parameter from "pc" to "pct". The percentage is used for the position of the marking. For example, having a position such as "100pc,50pc" would now be instead "100pct,50pct". This was changed to pct due to being a more favored abbreviation of percentage.
And as well important to note that there are no longer position or opacity URL parameters and are instead included in the mark parameter. Instead of "mark=image.jpg&position=center&opacity=75" this will now be "mark=image.jpg|center|75". This was done due to our related all-in-one product Veqa ImageFly having the same structure.
There's still more to this update. You may want to take a look at the version changes of this product to get more details.
