We'd like to announce our upcoming software version 1.5 of Veqa Image Resizer, Veqa Image Marker, Veqa Image Effects, and Veqa ImageFly. This project has been worked on since around August of 2006, so we are and have been keeping busy. That's about 5 months of work so far (version 1 took about 4 months). At this moment, however, we are not close to being finished yet. But it is expected to be released during this year of 2007 - possibly, in the second quarter of 2007.
Version 1.5 is going to be introducing some things you may have never seen in Web image manipulation software before - one of which will be quite neat to have. Besides that, we have also restructured most of the software into something more organized, flexible, and better coded. This new version is going to be much bigger than our first version - about 5 times bigger in size or more.
We're leaving most of the specific details out for the moment, except for one thing. ImageMagick by command-line is definitely going to be supported in the new version. Also, we will continue to provide free updates of our software as usual, so 1.5 will indeed be a free update just as well. Please take note of that, as there will be future price changes to reflect its features.
In the meantime, happy New Year. Obviously, this will be our top New Year's resolution.
